Growing up in a single-parent household, Shana Washington witnessed the challenges facing women firsthand and was determined to make a difference. Her first step toward this goal came at the age of 18 when she founded a mentoring group at her job, a local after-school program, focused on guiding urban teenage girls toward academic success and personal growth. Through this initiative, she helped many young women develop career goals and prepare for college, underscoring her commitment to giving back to her community. While Shana’s involvement in charitable causes had already established her as a leader, a personal tragedy in 2010 marked a turning point in her life. Following the murder of her cousin, Jason Jones, she created the Jason Jones Scholarship Fund and hosted the JAY DAY events to honor his legacy. This experience ignited the transformation of Shana into Shay Rozay.

During the pandemic in February 2021, Shay rebranded her marketing firm SW Consulting into Speaking In Success, a platform where she rediscovered her true passion—helping women thrive in all areas of life. Through Speaking In Success, Shay has not only guided businesses in brand management, production assistance, and social media promotion, but she has also hosted vendor events to showcase small businesses and empower entrepreneurs. Her philanthropic spirit continues to shine through her participation in walks for causes and the #SISCares initiative, launched in July 2023.
